In its seven years, the Starpulls Theory has had 2 predictions verified, 1 experimentally reinforced and another has become very timely.  What started as just another prediction of the TOE could now put the ‘boots’ to our economic and climate woes.

Were it not for the overwhelming gravity of earth and other large bodies; the stone (image left) released from David’s sling could be pulled all the way to the stars and even the Orion nebula where the Pharaohs sought their afterlife.  The image above hauntingly symbolizes the wisdom of well known ancients, centrifugal force, inertia, and gravity.

The significance may not be fully appreciated until

after you have read the “Gravity links to Billions of Stars” and “Inertia Revealed” pages.  Every time you push a car, throw a Frisbee, swing a lasso, use a flywheel, navigate with a gyrocompass, or simply move; the pulls of stars are involved.

We have been using the pulls of stars for a very long time.  It is only now however, that we are on the threshold of putting them to amazingly effective use.

·       This ‘new’ matter is not detectable by direct means but will nevertheless lift science out of its stall. 

·      Forget “Boomsday”, your descendants can be spared the hardships of energy and other costs and global warming.  Herein is the only real solution to pollution and energy problems on or off this planet. 

 ·     Understanding what the universe is made of and the how and why; not equations that work very well but explain little.  Paradoxes and mysteries – gone.  From understanding there comes action and the ability to solve some problem you are working on by approaching it from a new perspective. 

This site is directed to the broadest audience possible.  That is why it brings disparate theories together and is not styled like a formal scientific paper.  To gain any benefit from this content you will have to temporarily break away from reductionism and specialization.

It seems the tendency to compartmentalize data is strongest in men.  This video comparing men's and women's brains is hilarious and you are

sure to recognize how metaphorically true it is.  Thinking “outside the box” takes on a new meaning. Hopefully you will then not jump on the first minute point saying, “that’s wrong because…”  Please wait until you see how it fits everything else better than conventional wisdom.  For science to progress it is time to connect the dots, look at the big picture and see the forest instead of trees (pardon the clichés).

The Starpulls Theory is a slightly different view to conventional wisdom but nothing conflicts with observation or experimental results.  This site is mainly about how and why contemporary theories work the way they do, rather than fundamental changes.

“Energy link(s)” is really the only new bit of terminology added (plus adjectives).  It is the one and only thing that can fit them all together. Einstein and Newton were both correct; in fact all of the masters were essentially right.  As we go through these pages, please step back, suspend disbelief, and see how all aspects of the physical world are easily reinterpreted.

Questions that arise will likely be explained when you read other pages linked to.  “All the lights will come on”, when you realize it is all consistent, self-reinforcing at every level; and makes simple sense.

Being able to explain almost everything (except missing socks) is what really validates this theory.  Unencumbered by reductionism, assumption, and leaps of logic, connecting the dots in the mountain of experimental evidence from many disciplines, led to a new synthesis of what was already known!

Existing theories are explained and unified regardless whether originally belonging to the Classical, Relativity or Quantum Mechanics solitudes.  Many paradoxes and mysteries are also cleared up for which existing theories have no explanation at all.

The understanding of gravity and how to control it only came to light after 18 years studying how all four forces in the universe work.  It turns out that gravity is not the oddball force, but the most fundamental one.  Gravity is simply links of energy that pull.

(Newton came closer than anybody before or since).

Hold a magnet over steel and pass your finger between them.  You experience the energy pulling the magnet but cannot see or feel what lies between.  Energy is inextricably linked with matter but is not one and the same.  Energy is for lack of a better term, “un-matter”; the yin for the yang.

Potential energy, momentum, kinetic energy etc. are manifestations but not energy in its most fundamental form.  Energy has only ever been loosely defined in terms of something else, e.g. the ability to do work.

Westerners are so used to reductionism that they cannot think of energy as a distinct and fundamental entity. Energy is not made of something else.  Language fails us but energy is energy, is energy – full stop.

Energy currently exists in two basic forms:

·      Discrete energy potentials or ‘dark energy’ which pervades the whole universe and that includes the still controversial great hole or “void” recently discovered. 

·      Energy potentials melded together into one-dimensional lines, forming a dense, always changing, matrix of links between particles near or far. How can anything move through such a maze?  The page on Inertia has the answer.

Energy links are the only truly continuous entities in the universe. These links can be bundled and the bundles sub-divided or combined, but constituent links are the most fundamental of all quanta.

Some of the pages contain animated GIFs (not ActiveX executables). Some security software cannot tell the difference however, and may require temporary relaxation of ad blocking settings to view the action.

The Strong force=Concentrated Gravity page not only reveals the quantum nature of Gravity but also shows how mutual shielding turns it into the Strong Force.  Other pages reveal natural gravity shields in a continuum of sizes from the sub-atomic range to macro aggregations that

are displaced by our atmosphere and exist only in space.  While reading how energy links act in these pages, you may become impatient to know how they can extend from one body to another and then pull. Have you ever seen the TV animation showing one man throwing a ball (boson) to another, causing the two men to inexplicably come together?

When it comes to motive power; we have made essentially zero progress for centuries.

First, rapid combustion produced expanding gas to propel fireworks.  Next, external combustion heated water and the steam was found capable of moving a piston (steam power = expanding gas).  Then we skipped the steam part and let the expanding gas of internal combustion move the pistons directly.

We thought we had really advanced when rockets & jet planes came along.  Incredibly, everything mentioned is still driven by expanding gas.  

Gunpowder much like in fireworks still produces expanding gas to propel most munitions.

Nuclear power simply replaced the ‘dirty’ coal fire to generate steam.  It is the expanding water vapour which drives turbines and generates electricity. All of these impressive modern applications are still mere variations on one same theme - - - - the power of expanding gas!

We have already milked that one for all it was worth so do not expect anything significant to follow.

We are still wasting non-renewable fuel to produce expanding gas.

World-renowned physicist, Prof. Stephen Hawking has said; “If humans can avoid killing themselves in the next 100 years, they should have space settlements that can continue without support from Earth.”

Some think that even one self-supporting colony is impossible.  People cannot co-exist for long in cramped quarters.  We could never launch everything needed to build a structure large enough.  The list of things for this virtual ‘Noah’s ark’ goes on; water, plants, insects, animals to maintain atmosphere and food production, medical equipment, machinery to spin sections (artificial gravity) and of course, people. That however, is ‘today’s thinking’, relative only to today’s science and technology.  If we simply open our minds to new possibilities, beyond today; the Starpulls theory can change all that. Raising everything needed into space will be no problem at all.

Others feel that we have made a mess of this planet and humanity should not be allowed to infest space.  We have outgrown this planet but that does not translate to space.  We are but insignificant life forms on an insignificant speck in an insignificant galaxy.  It is only nearsightedness or boundless human arrogance to assume we could in any way harm an almost infinite universe.

Considering the billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars with planets, there have to be other life forms out there.   Some have no doubt already ventured beyond their home planets…so why should we be denied the same opportunity.  We have made it this far and deserve the right to fulfill our destiny.

You have probably heard this one too, “other stars are too far away, and we would never make it to another habitable planet”.  Nonsense, for two reasons;

a)     With gravity shields, a spaceship could continuously accelerate in the chosen direction.  Near light speed could be reached but would be hazardous (not to mention relativistic effects).  Nevertheless, safe speeds could be used that are much higher than assumed and the journey could be made in less than a lifetime.

b)     Where is it written that it has to be done in one lifetime? Self-sustaining space colonies would use inexhaustible gravity to pull them to their destinations.  They could therefore choose lower speed and take as many generations as required to get there.

Another cop-out is the latest excuse for cutting the Mars exploration budget.  “Humans would be exposed to too much radiation on such a long journey, and the required shielding would be too heavy to launch.”  ‘Horsefeathers’, gravity shields can lift anything.  Not much conventional shielding needs to be launched anyway; because the gravity shields can do double duty as radiation shields.

All we have to do is learn to use energy directly, in its most ubiquitous form in the universe - - - Gravity.  Hydro-electric and Tidal power are steps in the right direction, notwithstanding ecological concerns.  The Natural Gravity Shields page is the key.

We learned to control the Electromagnetic force and have electrons scurrying through “tunnels” and almost literally jumping through hoops.  We also have primitive control of the Strong and Weak forces - - so why not Gravity?  Because we have been lulled into defeatism thinking that Gravity is not a force but only geometry. The latter belief is partly true, but self-contradictory. 

Why would a body follow that geometry without something to make it go?  Much more is explained on other pages.

Just in case a reader may have elsewhere come across concerns that we might “run out of gravity”, rest easy.  Gravity is part of a closed-loop energy system in which nothing is ever lost.  The concept will become clear after reading other pages, especially Expansion, Energy, Matter – Life Cycle . 

In like manner, a story describing the total loss of our atmosphere still lingers in the minds of some.  The “H.G. Wells Fiction” page dispels that fear.

It has been my experience in corporate matters, research, and domestic dilemmas that people will try a new theory only when they get really desperate and nothing else works.

Current events show that we just never seem to learn.  In 1972, the Club of Rome (a think tank) predicted that exponential growth would eventually lead to economic and environmental collapse.  Nobody listened.  Most economists, still think growth is a cornerstone, unlimited and never to change.  

With graphs for surface temperature, population, CO2,  GDP, deforestation, water use, species extinctions, motor vehicles, paper consumption, fisheries depletion, foreign investment and ozone depletion all headed off the page, we are there!  Only now are we becoming desperate enough to consider stopping growth.

The global credit meltdown of 2009 has pushed energy prices and possible global warming to the ‘back burner’ but they are there waiting.  Perhaps by 2020 we will be desperate enough and let Starpulls take care of all energy needs.

The Jan 17-23, 2009 issue of New Scientist includes an article entitled “All the world’s a hologram”.  I disagree with that projection (pardon the pun); but the experimental results are real and are the first tangible evidence that space-time is not the smooth continuum of Einstein.

Since my book was published and this site established in 2003, I have maintained that the fabric of space-time is in fact quantum in nature, and made up of discrete energy links in 3 dimensions + time.  Because they are so thin (one dimensional), and dense I never dreamed that we would ever even indirectly ‘observe’ them.  Serendipity struck again however.

 I accurately (so far) predicted that gravity waves would never be detected. The only thing coming out of GEO600, an Anglo-German gravity wave detector was “noise” due to an unknown perturbation.

Craig Hogan, a physicist from Fermilab, explained that it was due to sideways buffeting of the laser beam splitter by the “graininess” of space-time.   Interestingly, the noise is between 300 and 1500 Hz. More experiments are required to eliminate other possible causes but this thrilling development fits right in and reinforces the Starpulls Theory.

The Aug 15-21, 2009 issue of New Scientist carries on with an article describing how the “graininess” may also be responsible for slowing down high energy photons from galaxies millions of light years away.  From 2005 to the present, the effect has been noted from several different telescopes. 

In the Starpulls theory, photons are transverse pulses on bundles of energy links.  The higher energy photons have sharper and higher amplitude pulses which are slowed down by grazing more links crossing their paths in the fabric of space-time.

Reported on page 12 of Discover, April ’07 issue, more of my predictions have been borne out by experimental evidence.  (In green on the Expansion, Energy, Matter - Life Cycle page).

Data from the Hubble have now been calibrated against data from the WMAP satellite.  The result is a history of the universe’s growth of “unprecedented accuracy and depth”.  

These data support my earlier statements about the omnipresence of dark energy since the BB; and it being the cause of expanding space. 

The reason for the current acceleration in expansion is still a mystery to most cosmologists however. These data also support my explanation that it is simply because the more galaxies separate, the less their gravity is able to counteract it. 

The May ’06 issue of Scientific American reported that one of my predictions has been proved by physical experiment.  (In green on the Expansion, Energy, Matter - Life Cycle page).  It profoundly, goes right to the heart of the nature of matter and energy.

Using the RHIC accelerator to smash gold nuclei together, conditions just after the big bang were duplicated. The physicist’s amazing “surprise”? The resulting medium temporarily behaves not like a gas or plasma but a “nearly perfect fluid”. 

During the inflation period, I predicted that continuous energy became more disperse. This is analogous to a phase change in matter from a liquid or fluid to a high pressure gas.

I further suggest that the liquid behaviour will be even more evident in higher energy experiments using lead nuclei when the LHC gets going again in late 2009 or in 2010. (First proton collisions Dec. 1, 2009)

Item by item, the overall Starpulls theory is being proved the hard way.  

The Hubble will be enhanced with a Cosmic Origins Spectrograph. The (COS) will probe large-scale structure of the universe whose form is determined by the gravity of Dark Matter.

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is much more powerful.  They should find a large and massive particle around 150 GeV and may think it is the “Higgs Boson”.  If they push to the max. 14 TeV (after repairs are complete), the author predicts discovery of an embarrassing continuum of still larger “Higgs Bosons”.

They are all really natural gravity shields whose constituents become “visible” after being wedged apart by the colliding nuclei.

Scientists also hope to find what mass is, and what gives matter its mass.  The Standard Model predicted a Higgs field which would be the same throughout the universe, and it would give matter its mass.  That however was before Dark Energy was known to exist.  As mentioned on several other pages, mass is simply the measured pull of energy links.

In addition, as described on the page for Expansion of the Universe, energy links are a product of the dark energy potentials in the universal “sink”.  It is therefore fair to say that Dark Energy is really what gives matter its mass.  All of this will hopefully be more proof for this site’s Starpulls theory.
